About Through the Trees Therapy
Underneath the pain of past challenges and fear of the future lies our most authentic selves. Whether that grief stems from childhood wounds or wounds created along the way. I work with individuals who feel burdened by the weight of their traumatic experiences, and recognize that they are more than their pain. By looking through the trees and into the core of being, I assist individuals and couples navigate terrains that appear perilous.
My Specialized Services
Individual Counseling
At Through the Trees Therapy, I offer individual therapy to adults 18-years-old and above. My approach is tailored to address the unique needs of each individual, provide support and strategies to manage life's stressors, and to assist in the increase of self expression and authenticity.
Somatic and
Mindfulness Work
Through the Trees Therapy prioritizes the importance of learning how to regulate the nervous system. We will work on identifying somatic signs of dysregulation while finding ways to manage physical, mental, and emotional distress.
Couples Counseling
For couples, therapy sessions will focus on fostering healthy attachment and understanding within the connection. Together we will work on navigating difficult conflicts, while simultaneously focused on rebuilding trust and respect in the relationship.
Behavioral Interventions
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are therapeutic interventions utilized at Through the Trees. We will challenge negative core beliefs that impact emotion and behavior to foster more realistic and empowering beliefs about the self and the world.
Trauma-Informed Care
I recognize the impact trauma has on mental well-being and daily functioning. I will foster a supportive environment to process and heal from past or recent wounds. My trauma-informed approach will prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment in the therapeutic space.
Emotion-Focused Therapy
Emotion-Focused Therapy is a evidence-based therapeutic intervention that focuses on how we attach to our environment, other individuals and ourselves. By using attachment theory, we will learn to create secure attachment within the self and our relationships.
